Summer Home Maintenance Checklist!

With the change of each season comes a new set of maintenance tasks for your home! It's important to keep our homes in tip top shape for the summer months! Below are a few maintenance ideas to keep your home healthy and cool this summer!

• Air Conditioner Inspection - Replace or clean air filters for optimum air conditioning performance. Consider having a professional service inspect and make sure that your unit is in good working condition.

• Ceiling Fan Cleaning - Using a damp rag, clean the top of the blades of your ceiling fans before they begin the work of cooling off your rooms this summer.

• Window Washing - Make sure that your windows are crystal clear so that you may look out and enjoy those beautiful summer sunsets!

• Check Detectors - Check carbon monoxide and smoke detectors for full function.

• Mulch - a layer of mulch will keep the weeds from taking over as well as keeping your ground retain moisture.

• Check for Leaks - Check hoses and exterior faucets for any leaks.

• Plan a Watering Schedule - Plan ahead for your plants! Water deeply only a couple of times a week to encourage deeper root growth.

• Welcome Mats - Place a heavy duty mat outside and then a softer cloth mat inside. You'll trap more dirt from coming into your home!
